Anointed Feet Christian Dance Academy of the Arts- IL originated October 2008 with the help of Ms. Lakita Humber.  I asked Lakita, "Why do you think we should have a location in Illinois", she responded, "Anointed Feet (St. Louis) has been such a tremendous blessing to me personally, I felt that the IL dance ministers were missing out.  Because of the scheduling or distance it is not always feasible for dancers from the Metro East to travel to St. Louis.  AF-IL will have an opportunity to increase their technique as well as the spiritual applications from a Christian Academy."
Lakita is originally from Buffalo, NY and moved to O'Fallon, IL in 2002 because she was an officer in the United States Air Force. The Lord led her to the O'Fallon Apostolic church where she is the dance ministry president for the last four years and counting. They have 3 dance ministries: JOYED UP! (Children), Revelation Teen Dance Ministry, and the Spirit of Elijah Dancers (adults).   In 2005 the Lord led her to start Paneh Praise Dance & Mime Ministry with a vision focused on worship (Paneh means in HIS presence), equipping, and educating the body of believers and eventually teaching and mentoring others as the Lord allows. Since it's inception she has been graced with the opportunity to minister locally, nationally and internationally.  Following with the vision to "equip" the body, in 2007 Paneh hosted the first Equipping the Saints Dance & Worship Arts Conference.  The Equipping the Saints Dance & Worship Arts Conference was birthed out of a desire to bring together kingdom minded ministers from all over the world for a time of educating, equipping and impartation. There is a great work that needs to be done for the kingdom. In order to accomplish that work, you must be equipped. Ephesians 4:11-12 says "And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry"
Our speakers operate in the five-fold ministry and have accepted the assignment to equip each kingdom ambassador in attendance for the work of the ministry. The goal of the conference is to stir up the gifts in each attendee so when they return to their communities they apply the knowledge and principals they learned and teach others - multiplying the spread of knowledge and laborers for the kingdom.
